Set up real-time tracking and email notifications for shipment updates.

Every shipment has a public tracking page that can be shared with stakeholders — no login required.
Sharing a Tracking Link
- Open a shipment
- Copy the tracking URL from the shipment details
- Share it with anyone who needs to follow the shipment
The tracking page shows: - Current shipment status - Key shipment details (reference, vessel, origin, destination) - Timeline of status changes

Email Notifications
Stakeholders can subscribe to shipment updates and receive email notifications automatically.
Subscribing to Updates
Anyone with the tracking link can subscribe:
- Visit the public tracking page
- Enter their email address
- Click Subscribe to updates
- Confirm via the confirmation email
What Gets Notified
Subscribers receive emails when:
- Shipment status changes (processing → ready for review → approved/rejected)
- New documents are uploaded
- Check results change
- Shipment is approved or rejected
Member Notifications
Organization members receive email notifications for important shipment events. These are separate from subscriber notifications and are sent to team members based on their notification preferences.
Alert Events
These events generate alert-style notifications:
| Event | When It Triggers |
|---|---|
| ETA Changed | The tracking provider reports a revised ETA — shows old and new dates |
| Shipment Error | An error occurs during shipment processing |
| Email Update | An inbound email is classified as Warning or Critical urgency |
Notification Events
| Event | When It Triggers |
|---|---|
| Shipment Created | A new shipment is created (via email or manual upload) |
| Status Changed | Shipment transitions to a new status (e.g., In Transit → Arrived) |
Timezone Support
All dates and times in notification emails are displayed in each recipient's local timezone. Set your timezone in Settings to ensure dates appear correctly.
If you haven't set a timezone, dates default to UTC.
Unsubscribing
Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link. Click it to stop receiving updates for that shipment.
Notification Preferences
Organization members can manage their notification preferences in Settings:
- Toggle alerts on or off (ETA changes, errors, urgent email updates)
- Toggle notifications on or off (new shipments, status changes)
- Set your timezone for date formatting in emails
